I am currently a visiting assistant professor at St. Francis Xavier University.

My research is focused on the controversies concerning human freedom and the causal relationship between cognitive powers and the will in the late-thirteenth and early-fourteenth centuries. I am also interested in how the different conceptions of freedom held by philosophers and theologians in this period map onto the contemporary free will debate.
